The conference Region of the Future – the future of the region was held for the first time in 2022 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Košice IT Valley cluster. In the world of Košice events and business conferences, it has found its stable place, each year bringing topics addressed not only to the professional public, but to all enthusiasts of the world of IT and technology.

Vintage 2024
The third edition of the conference Region of the Future – the future of the region was devoted to the topic of technological trends in 2024.
Eminent speakers, experts and representatives of the technology sector and IT companies helped the participants to create a picture of what technologies are moving the world. We learned how to develop space technologies in Slovakia, what we need to build a cybersecurity competence centre in the region, as well as a lot of valuable information about Eastern Slovakia in the context of Industry 5.0.
It also included an interesting exhibition part and the EDIH Cassovium consortium.
Vintage 2023
The Eastern Slovakia region has long been known for the IT sector, which employs the most people in Košice among all other sectors. With each arrival of new technologies, disruptive changes occur, which also result in the loss of jobs in the case of monotonous and repetitive activities, but at the same time new ones are created. That is why we have dedicated the second edition of the conference Region of the Future – The Future of the Region to the topic of artificial intelligence and its impact on our society.
More than 100 participants gathered at the East Slovak Gallery in Košice on 21 June 2023 to listen to presentations and panel discussions about the impact of technology and AI on society or successful and inspiring projects from Eastern Slovakia from partners and guests of the event.
